Volunteer Job Descriptions
The hope with Volunteer Rotations is that you have a team of folks who serve approximately every 6-8 weeks (if we get enough volunteers). You learn your role and communicate with your team if you need to make adjustments or trade days you serve.
Once you have your dates of service from September to August, do your best to serve on those dates. We understand that schedules can change and unexpected things may arise. If you cannot, we ask that you trade with someone within your team and then notify Kristin (or Maria) that the change has been made.
Below are some general explanations for our teams. More details and instructions will be provided at our volunteer dinner on September 10th at 6pm.

Sunday Jobs
Brew Crew (6-8 people) -The Brew Crew team is of utmost importance! You are setting the stage for a cozy morning of community! Arrive at 9:00 am - Make coffee for the church in our kitchen. Instructions remain in the kitchen cabinet. You will ensure that there is plenty of coffee available for everyone before Community Groups, between Community Groups and Worship, and throughout the break at Worship, when families take their kids downstairs.
Worship Slide folks (6-8 total) You will arrive for Worship Practice @8:30 am, head to your own Community Group, and then return at Worship 10:40.
Greeters (10 couples/pairs every 6 weeks) You will arrive at 9:15 am and man the door, greet folks warmly, send new folks to the Welcome desk for more information.
Parking attendants (3/Sunday) You will arrive at 9:15 am to set out cones, and helps folks park. More details to come
Clean up crew (6 people or couples) After worship, you gather trash and take care of our clean up checklist.
High school meals (8-12) Sunday evening youth meets at 5:30 pm. Provide a simple dinner for approximately 30 kids. (We have drinks and chips available at the church).
Kids Ministry (lots) - this is our highest volunteer need! (66 people, plus 10-12 subs - We need 54 individuals on one team to allow each person to serve on a rotation just once every 6 weeks. These volunteers may choose to serve in the nursery (birth-2 year olds for both hours), the toddler room (2 ½-3 year olds) during the second hour, or Christ Kids (4-10 year olds) during the message portion of the second hour. We are also in need of another 12 individuals to volunteer on a rotation during the first hour as Sunday School teachers for the pre-k/k classroom, the 1st-4th grade classroom, and in our break room (currently with one special needs student).
Thoughtout the Week Teams
Caretakers (6 individuals every week for a month, 2x a year) - This is a weekly role that is at your convenience. This team will serve for a month at a time. With 6 team members, that means you will serve twice per year. This includes tasks such as changing filters and checking for repairs throughout the church. You will have training and a specific checklist
Missionary Care team (36) - The team members will be the primary point of contact for care specifically tailored to the missionaries we support.
As Needed Teams
Meal Train (as many as we can) - as needs arise for babies, sickness, death, etc - Michelle Goethert will contact you and see if you are able to prepare a meal for a community member in need.
